Telemetrics New Coax/OpticalCon Fiber/Link System

Delivers Reduced Cost & Greater Reliability

Las Vegas, NV (April 16, 2012) – At this year’s NAB, Telemetrics is introducing a new cable option designed for broadcast and production professionals looking to expand the functionality of their Telemetrics camera control systems while minimizing costs. Telemetrics Coax/Fiber Link transmits power with full CCU functionality over distances up to 3000’ using standard field repairable coax and Neutrik opticalCON DUO cable. For distances less than 500’, the system can be configured with two standard coax cables. Either configuration eliminates the need for expensive batteries, local power supplies and expensive cables and connectors.

“Combining camera control with power on a single transmission platform provides extreme cost efficiency,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General Manager, Telemetrics Inc. “Our new opticalCon option for the Coax/Fiber Link takes cost-efficiency one step further by offering users a choice in the cable configurations they use depending on distances. This presents a tremendous cost-savings alternative.”
