The installation team at Peerless-AV® was tasked with a collaborative project to design, engineer, and create a unique SEAMLESS Bespoke Mounting System for the Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook at Mohegan’s flagship casino and entertainment destination in Connecticut, Mohegan Sun.

Working alongside AV integrator, Solutionz, and dvLED supplier, Unilumin, Peerless-AV® installed an enormous custom video wall to deliver a more impressive experience for guests. Mohegan Sun and FanDuel collaborated to conceptualize a triple XL, curved video wall to serve as the centerpiece of the room, displaying a world-class selection of live sports competitions.

There were distinct challenges during this installation. In the original plan, the solution was to be mounted on the floor, however, the visible posts were not ideal. The team quickly adapted to create a mounting system that could suspend the 20,000lb solution and mounting system from the ceiling and attach it to a wall.

While pivoting from the original installation plan, Peerless-AV removed an existing non-structural wall of 20g light-gauge framing and sheetrock, exposing the building structure for the main video wall to be mounted to a stable structure with supplemental steel as support. In addition to structural benefits, this adjustment would allow the dvLED video wall to be pushed as far back as possible, maximizing the common area and limiting the protrusion of the video wall.

The results included the main video wall with two side sections of video walls. The total viewable surface of the dvLED video wall is 139ft W x 14.7ft H and 2,034 sq ft. 420. Unilumin Uslim dvLED displays were used for the colossal wall, with panels arranged in an 84-wide by 5-high configuration.

Thanks to the Video Wall Integration Program, SEAMLESS by Peerless-AV, ensuring start-to-finish on-site installation support, the installation went smoothly and the video wall is up and running with reliable performance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Now the home to the largest video wall on the East Coast of North America, The Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook sets an elevated standard for the leisure and entertainment space. The Mohegan Sun and FanDuel teams were elated with the installation that brought their vision to life.
