In June of this year, the team at Premier Mounts arrived at InfoComm 2016 with a familiar set of expectations. We knew we would see the latest technologies in the audiovisual industry, meet some fascinating people from around the world, and find inspiration for our next wave of innovations. Little did we know Premier Mounts would be recognized for the quality of our products and services!
We were honored to stand out among an impressive crowd. InfoComm is the largest pro-AV and systems integration trade show in the world, boasting attendance of more than 950 companies from over 110 countries. Of all these organizations representing the best in the AV business, Premier Mounts was awarded the Best New Digital Signage Hardware Product Award for our Unistrut Menu Board.
Our recognition did not stop there, however. Premier Mounts is a well-known original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with a reputation for creating custom products that pass strict safety checks, quality assurance inspections, and certification programs. Thanks to this background, our Heavy Duty Universal Projector Mount also won Best of Show!
The Best of Show awards are the most prestigious of the conference. “The 2016 Best of Show Winners were recognized because they truly solve problems rather than create them,” said editorial director of AV Technology, Margot Douaihy. “There are literally thousands of new products on display at InfoComm, by more than 900 manufacturers, but the Best of Show winners stand apart,” she explained. “They address critical issues faced by our readers on a daily basis, such as image and sound quality, control, usability, access, networking, design flexibility, and AV management.”
The PBM-UNI Heavy Duty Projector Mount was designed to specifically address each of these needs. It is a flexible product that can support projectors weighing up to 150 lb. (56.8 kg) while being secured to a single wood stud, standard 1.5 inch NPT pipe, or directly to a ceiling. It is exceptionally usable, with a slotted base, adjustable legs, and cable routing capabilities through NPT pipe or adjustable suspension adapters. If mounted to the ceiling, the mount can rotate 15 degrees. On NPT pipe it can rotate 360-degrees with plus or minus 6 degrees in tilt and 3 degrees in roll. Users have a large amount of control with this easily installed and adjustable product. We are proud to see this carefully designed product recognized as outstanding in our field.
The Best New Digital Signage Hardware Product Award is nothing to sneeze at, either, and we are equally proud of the UMB-DBTS Unistrut Attached Flat Panel Menu Board Mounting Solution. This product can attach directly to commercially available unistrut channels, which makes it quick and easy to install a linear display row. Users have flexibility with this product as well, with tilt positions that make it easy for landscape or portrait mounting. The Menu Board can be adjusted with a simple footpad and use a locking cam to keep the display and unistrut channel connected. It works for mounting in both landscape and portrait orientation. We believe this is a phenomenal piece of equipment and are pleased to see the greater audio-visual community agrees!
Our products stood apart from the competition because they provide solutions in a shifting AV landscape. As Margot Douaihy explained, “Ultimately, what separated these products from other solid solutions is that they have a special appeal for AV technology managers and IT directors in increasingly collaborative AV/IT environments.” Our field is seeing more and more collaboration between these two professions. Premier Mount technologies allow those collaborations to be productive and time-efficient.
