The 1980s marked a different time in Audio-Visual technology. Connecting computers to projectors was itself somewhat of a marvel. Giving professionals and consumers alike the ability to project an image from a digital source wasn’t simply a big deal, it changed industries. Over the past 30 years, as digital displays have lowered in cost, the use-cases and applications have expanded–with a thriving AV industry, the digital and physical worlds are converging. Consumers in markets ranging from Quick-Serve Restaurants (QSR) to Public Spaces and Sports Venues now expect interactive and entertaining displays to come standard. And with the migration to media over IP, consolidating disparate wires and cables for one ethernet cable, the capabilities of digital display are outpacing Moore’s law itself.
