NEWARK, NJ (August 25, 2014) – Dave Hall, principal of Davideo Multimedia (Berkeley Heights, NJ) recently invested in Panasonic’s new AJ-PX270 P2 HD camcorder for his roster of corporate/event assignments, including ongoing work shooting performance videos for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (www.njpac.org).
Hall, a longtime Panasonic shooter and owner of an AG-HPX300 shoulder-mount and
AG-HMC150 AVCCAM camcorder, has already used the PX270 to shoot weddings and a quinceanera celebration.
“At only five pounds, the PX270 is significantly lighter than the HPX300, but it delivers big camera performance,” said Hall. “I’m quickly making the PX270 my go-to camera, including for my high-profile NJPAC work.”
Hall praised the PX270’s impressive image quality, 22x long-range zoom, live streaming capability, shockless white balancing and its ability to record on both microP2 and standard size P2 cards (with an SD card slot for impromptu AVC-Intra50 recording).
“With remote control, I can zoom very slowly, which I haven’t been able to do with competitive cameras,” Hall said. “And with the PX270’s jacks for two remotes, I can control zoom and iris simultaneously, which isn’t possible with the older HPX300.”
“The quinceanera was a challenging environment, with big groups of people dancing while facing away from me,” he continued. “Using a monopod, I was able to tilt the LCD screen down to capture the action while I was holding the PX270 over my head, which I certainly can’t do with a shoulder-mount.
