Sept. 10, 2021 - AVPro Edge has been a part of CEDIA since our inception. Each year, we emphasize integrator education, and a lot of that training is facilitated through or by CEDIA. AVPro Edge and Murideo support the Imaging Science Foundation Display calibration class, and the Home Acoustics Alliance Audio calibration class, both hosted through the new CEDIA building around the CEDIA Expo. So when news came out that CEDIA 2021 was going to be a much different event than previous years, we were disappointed. 

However, we decided to continue to support CEDIA and the expo in 2021. We attended the show and talked to amazing integrators about the future of video distribution. In addition, we showed some ground-breaking new products and developments in our technology.

One of our demos showed a brand new Xbox Series X outputting an HDMI 2.1 signal through the video game Forza Horizon Dawn 4. This game is capable of running at 120fps. Of course, that much data could not be sent without the proper cabling, but to really wow dealers, we had this system running through AVPro Edge’s 8K matrix switcher and had the audio playing out of 2015 AVR. Kam from Projector Reviews had a great write up about this demo in his coverage of CEDIA:

We also had active running AXION and MXNet systems so integrators could see firsthand the differences between HDMI/HDBaseT and AV over IP technology. Since both have their strengths, the choice comes down to the integrator’s personal opinion. Luckily AVPro Edge does both.
