Premier Mounts Ultra-thin A/V Shelving System Wins SCN/InfoComm Installation Product Award
Posted on Friday, June 17, 2011

ANAHEIM, CALIF. (June 17, 2011) – Premier Mounts (www.mounts.com), a leading manufacturer of A/V mounts, carts & stands, and accessories, is featuring their expanded, versatile, and now award winning shelving system at InfoComm 2011, booth # 1331. The shelving system, SHLF-VE, has just been named the ‘Most Innovative Audio/Video Conferencing Product’ by the 2011 SCN/InfoComm Installation Product Awards.

The ultra-thin, adjustable A/V shelving system (SHLF-VE) complements Premier Mount’s line of low-profile flat-panel mounts. This P-Series Video Conference & Equipment Shelf System perfectly mounts video conferencing cameras above the flat-panel display and can accommodate A/V equipment or computers below it.

The SHLF-VE shelf combination includes the, a large shelf equipment shelf, SHLF-EQ, which sits below the display, and a video-conference camera shelf, SHLF-VC, which attaches above the flat-panel. The SHLF-VC features a mounting slot for a video camera to be secured with a ¼”-20 screw. Both shelves use ultra-thin brackets to hook in the wall plate of the flat-panel mount at various heights, which allows it to accommodate any common flat-panel screen size.

When extended to their maximum height, the SHLF-VE’s brackets and shelves allow more than 47.2” (1.2 meters) of vertical space for the display and A/V equipment. The shelves adjust in 1.2” (3 cm) increments with the option to “daisy chain” additional shelves (SHLF-XE and SHLF-VC2). The SHLF-XE is an additional equipment shelf that can be attached from the lowest equipment shelf. The SHLF-VC2 is a camera shelf that can be attached below the flat-panel and has a mounting slot for securing a video conferencing camera. Despite their ultra-low profile design, the shelf brackets allow for simple cable management that improves the appearance of your display and equipment. Slots in the sides of the A/V shelves are designed for attaching straps to the equipment for added security.

All of the shelves were designed for Premier Mounts’ P-Series, one of the thinnest low profile series of flat-panel mounts on the market. Various models hold flat-panel displays (up to 80” diagonal in size) less than 1” from the wall and have optional tilt for the best viewing angle. Features such as post installation leveling and built-in lateral shift allow adjustments to be made after the flat panel has been installed.

“Being awarded the ‘Most Innovative Audio/Video Conferencing Product’ award from Systems Contractor News and InfoComm is an honor. Our new line of low-profile A/V shelves is just an example of the many new products we’ve designed to add convenience and simplicity to flat-panel installations,” explains Lee Dodson, President of Premier Mounts. “Here at Premier Mounts we strive to provide innovative, quality products that can be combined to create the desired end result for our customers, which makes winning this award so exciting.”
