Christie Pandoras Box Media Servers Drive Spectacular Projection Mapping Content at InfoComm China 2016
Posted on Thursday, April 14, 2016

INFOCOMM CHINA/BEIJING – (April 14, 2016) – Christie® Pandoras Box media server system, used and trusted by content creators, rental stagers and projection designers to deliver some of the most spectacular multi-media presentations around the world, is p?????laying a crucial role in driving media content that is showcased at the Christie booth #EB1-01 at InfoComm China 2016, April 13-15.

Widely known as a cost-effective turnkey solution that perfectly unites state-of-the-art rendering technology with intuitive media and show control, the award-winning Pandoras Box system features the most powerful render-engine offering real-time compositing in 3D, allowing for projection onto any shape and any surface. It is the ideal choice for any live event, projection mapping or multi-media show. Besides being flexible and user-friendly, it can be set up as a standalone playback device, network playback client or in console mode for direct DMX Control.

One of the biggest draws at the Christie booth is an impressive large-scale projection mapping installation executed on a 12-meter wide screen shaped like a wristwatch in the Watch Mapping Zone. This is made possible by two Christie Pandoras Box Quad Servers connected to five Christie Boxer 4K30 3DLP® projectors to deliver content in stunning 4K resolution. Perfect for projects that require multiple outputs, the versatility of the Pandoras Box Quad Server system makes it a great choice for large-scale panoramic projections, interactive digital signage projects and fixed installations.

At the Digital Art Gallery zone, several art masterpieces and wall-mounted cubes are brought to life in an exciting and lifelike projection mapping demonstration on the wall and floor, driven by a Christie Pandoras Box Quad Server and displayed using Christie G Series? and Christie WU14K-M projectors. Visitors will be captivated by the vibrant and colorful visuals projected on a 4-meter wide screen by the Christie Roadie 4K45 projector paired with a Pandoras Box Dual Server, a powerful multi-purpose system suitable for large-scale projects in various applications such as location-based entertainment.

“The Christie Pandoras Box software and hardware systems are perfectly suited for creating stunning presentations and interactive installations for various applications, including cultural assets development and location-based entertainment, which are the focus of our booth this year,” said Jonathan Lim, director of sales, Image Processing Systems, Christie Asia Pacific. “Whether inside a prestigious museum, a theme park or onboard a cruise ship, the Pandoras Box system offers the best high performance link between projection and digital image compositing. Users can arrange videos and images freely, change color, form and position with the Pandoras Box, which synchronizes all video and audio sources. With its on-site 3D rendering, composition and editing capabilities, the Pandoras Box is the best tool for any live event or multi-media show.”

Over the years, the Pandoras Box system has been instrumental in helping show creators and projection designers deliver outstanding contents and visuals at numerous venues around the world to the delight of audiences. These include the opening ceremony of the South East Asian sporting event held in Singapore in 2015, where 18 Pandoras Box media servers generated content projected by 160 Christie J Series? projectors onto the field of the National Stadium, setting a new Guinness World Record for the greatest light output for a projected image.?
